365 nm UV light

This light is tested to confirm that it is indeed 365 nm. We've noticed that many customers purchase 395 nm or 405 nm lights from Amazon or eBay, which are advertised as 365 nm. However, these lights do not work as expected. We often receive inquiries asking if a 395 nm light can be used instead of a 365 nm light. The answer is no, you cannot. A 395 nm light is not UV light; it is blue light. It's similar to asking if you can use red light instead of green light — they are not the same.

365 nm lights are slightly more expensive than 395 nm lights, but 395 nm and higher wavelengths are not UV light; they are blue light and do not produce fluorescence, even though they are often marketed as "black lights" or "UV lights." Additionally, many of the lights sold on eBay or Amazon that are labeled as 365 nm are actually 395 nm. The sellers may not even realize that they are not offering genuine UV light.
