The clenbuterol test is very simple. Place a small amount of a crushed pill into the vial—less than the amount of test reagent. The vial contains only 0.1 ml of reagent, which is all that is needed. The initial color reaction will be light yellow, and within an hour it will change to light gray. A change to light yellow alone is not a positive result. You must wait until it turns light gray for the test to be considered positive.

If you use a more concentrated pill or pure powder, the higher concentration will produce a slightly darker color. With a small piece of a regular pill, the reaction will be slower and result in a light gray (or light grey) color. It is that simple—you do not need to be a chemist or a trained color interpreter to determine whether the result is light gray or not.
